Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cup flour
  • 3 tablespoon cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 5 tablespoon cooking oil
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup cold water

Directions

Spray 8 or 9" square pan with cooking spray. Sift into the pan flour, cocoa, soda, sugar, and salt. Make three holes in the dry ingredients. Put oil into one hole, vinegar into another, and vanilla into the third. Pour cold water over the whole thing and stir until smooth. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. If you double the recipe, it makes a 9x13" cake. Frost or dust with powdered s ugar.
