Ingredients

  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 cup quick oats
  • 2 cup rice krispies
  • 1 6-oz. package butterscotch chips

Directions

Cream shortening and sugars; beat in eggs. Mix flour, soda and baking powder in another bowl and and then add to the wet ingredients. Fold in oats, rice krispies and butterscotch chips. Drop onto ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 350° for 10 minutes (approx).
Can also add coconut, chocolate chips or nuts instead of butterscotch chips.
Makes a bunch.
