Ingredients

  • 1 unbaked pie crust - 9 inch
  • 6 cups sliced pears
  • juice of one lemon
  • cup sugar
  • ½ teaspoon ginger
  • ½ cup butter
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup sifted flour

Directions

Chill pie shell. Sprinkle pears with lemon juice. Add sugar and ginger. Place in pie shell. Combine remaining ingredients to make streusal topping. Sprinkle topping evenly on pie. Bake at 450° for 10 minutes; then lower heat to 350° and bake an additional 35 minutes.
