Ingredients

  • 2 ½ - 3 pound chuck roast
  • 1 large onion
  • 4 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 4 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ cup vinegar
  • 2 ½ cups tomato juice
  • ½ cup catsup

Directions

Place all ingredients in covered roaster. Bake for 4 hours at 325 °. Remove meat; shred with two forks. Return meat to sauce. Store in refrigerator overnight. Remove solidified fat from top. Warm in a saucepan over low heat. Serve in sandwich buns. Makes 12-15 sandwiches ( or more)
