Tuna Medallions (marinated and grilled)


  • 1 pound tuna medallions, about four pieces 1 1/2" thick
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • ¼ cup minus 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp teriyaki sauce
  • 2 tbsp cider vinegar
  • ½ tsp dried dill weed
  • ¼ tsp cloves
  • ¼ tsp Penzey's Lemon Pepper


Whisk all ingredients except tuna together until homogenized. Put the tuna in a big ziploc bag and pour the marinade over it. Marinate for as long as you can (I marinated for about 2 hours).

Grill the tuna on medium low for about 6 minutes on one side, turn it over, and grill 6 minutes on the other side. Then turn it over again and grill 3 minutes. Check for doneness. Tuna is done when the meat has gone from pink to grey looking.
