Mom's Crock Pot Meatballs

  • 3 lbs. ground beef
  • 1 ½ tablespoons salt
  • dash pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 ounce 12 jar Welches' grape jelly
  • 1 ounce 12 jar Kraft's barbecue sauce
  • 1 ounce 12 jar chili sauce
  • juice of one lemon

Mix meat, salt, pepper and garlic. Roll into 3/4 inch balls.
Put all the other ingredients in a pot and heat them until they are
almost boiling. Transfer the liquid to your crock pot and put in the meatballs. Simmer until there is a layer of fat on top of the liquid. Put your whole pot into the fridge and let the fat cool and harden. Take it off. Reheat the stuff. If there's too much liquid for people to get to the meatballs with toothpicks, take some of the liquid out. I guarantee there won't be any left.

Ground beef can be cheapo--fat is not a problem.
