Mamoo's Manicotti-Sauce

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 1 ½ cups water
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 large cans tomatoes
  • 1 6 oz can tomato paste
  • 2 tbsp parsley
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp oregano
  • 1 tsp basil
  • ¼ tsp pepper

Method

Saute onions and garlic in olive oil. Add remaining ingredients. Stir with a wire whisk to mush up the tomatoes. Simmer for one hour until sauce cooks down.
