Improvised Vegetarian Stroganoff

Ingredients

  • ½ cup onion, chopped finely
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, chopped finely
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 ½ cups fat free sour cream
  • ¾ cup fat free plain yogurt
  • 1 ½ tablespoons red wine
  • ¼ teaspoon dried dill
  • dash tamari sauce
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • Nate's Meatless Meatballs, or other fake meat product, if desired
  • egg noodles, or other carb of choice for underneath

Method

Saute the onion and mushrooms in butter until the onion is soft. Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer over very low heat for approximately 30 minutes, stirring every once and again. If using Nate's meatless meatballs, add them to the sauce to simmer 15 minutes before cooking time is up. Serve the sauce over your carb of choice.
