Cheesy Tuna Noodle Casserole

  • 8 oz. egg noodles, cooked and drained
  • 3 tbsp butter, melted
  • 3 tbsp all purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • ¼ tsp. pepper
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup italian bread crumbs
  • ½ cup spanish olives, chopped
  • 2 cans tuna, drained

Preheat oven to 350.

Cook flour in butter for approximately 2 minutes on medium heat. Do not let the flour brown. Add the milk to the flour/butter paste a little at a time. Continue to stir until the mixture comes to a boil. Reduce the heat to low, and add 1 and 1/2 cups of the cheese to the pan. Stir until the cheese is melted. Add onion powder, salt, pepper, and garlic. Stir in the tuna, olives, and lastly, fold in the noodles. Place mixture in an 8x8x2" baking dish. Sprinkle breadcrumbs over the mixture. Top with remaining cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until the cheese on top is melted and bubble.
